[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1678679812958{background-color: #f6f5f0 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15091″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_3d”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1678680890681{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”]Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has worked on children and youth development since 1980.\u00a0 Giving the priority to children, Her Royal Highness firstly focused on improving childhood nutrition through school agriculture.\u00a0 Over time, this initiative has expanded to cover other aspects of quality of life development such as health, hygiene, education, cooperative principles and values, vocational skills, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation.\u00a0 The aim of her development work has also shifted from a focus on agriculture for better nutrition to a holistic development \u2013 to enhance the potential of children and youth in a balanced manner so that they can develop as productive members of their communities and the nation.\u00a0 It is now known as a sustainable development model for enhancing the capacity of children and youth to develop to their full potential and then achieving a better quality of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from implementing children and youth development project in the Kingdom of Thailand for more than 800 schools nationwide, Her Royal Highness\u2019s initiatives have been applied in other countries.\u00a0 At present, there are 107 participating schools in 10 countries – Lao People\u2019s Democratic Republic, The Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Kingdom of Cambodia, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mongolia, Kingdom of Bhutan, People\u2019s Republic of Bangladesh, Republic of Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and Republic of the Philippines.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Since an outbreak of COVID-19, education provision as well as children development activities in schools have been disrupted.\u00a0 We have been forced to adapt our ways of working. To keep on implementing the children development activities in each country, the Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn\u2019s Projects in collaboration with Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) and other concerned organizations will organize \u201c2022 Virtual International Conference on Children and Youth Development under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn\u201d. The Conference serves as a platform for exchanging and sharing knowledge and experience in all aspects of children and youth development initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
