Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Lady (Thanphuying) Angkab Punyashthiti Border Patrol Police School (Ban Klong Wai), Vibhavadi District, Surat Thani Province

On May 23, 2025, at 09:20 hours, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of Thanphuying Angkab Punyashthiti Border Patrol Police School (Ban Klong Wai).

In 2024, Her Royal Highness graciously granted funds for the construction of a learning building with 9 classrooms in honour of Lady Angkab Punyashthiti, who is her teacher.

This marked her sixth visit to this school and her 1,124th visit to a Border Patrol Police school overall. The school provides basic education starting from kindergarten to grade 6 with an enrollment of 161 students.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness visited the exhibition on the biography of Lady Angkhan Bunyasthiti. Her Royal Highness graciously presented the First-Class Honorary Pins to 19 people who have contributed to Her projects and then granted an audience to 13 students, recipients of Her scholarship, to report their learning outcomes.

Her Royal Highness followed up the progress of the implementation of the children and youth development project in the school including vocational training, library, student cooperative. Her Royal Highness also observed the teaching and learning process in the computer room where she provided with 20 sets of computers.

In addition, students reported Her Royal Highness school agricultural activities to. Apart from growing vegetables and fruit trees and raising animal, students can breed the wild pigs and sell them to the community. Besides, the school can expand their development activities to communities nearby by giving vegetable seeds to students and parents to grow and consume at home, reducing expenses and generating income.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness visited local people who came to greet her at the school and visit the medical and dental units which offered free services to the communities by two medical teams from Vibhavadi Hospital and Tha Rong Chang Hospital as well as a dental team from Mahidol University.
