Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Baan Khao Chao Border Patrol Police School, Pran Buri District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, to follow up on the progress of projects under her royal initiative.

At 1:00 p.m. on August 27, 2025, Her Royal Highness proceeded to Baan Khao Chao Border Patrol Police School for the sixth time, marking her 1,134th visit to a Border Patrol Police School. The school currently provides education from kindergarten to grade 6, with a total of 81 students.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness observed the progress of the Royal Initiative Projects for the Development of Children and Youth in Remote Areas. In terms of nutrition, most students were found to be within the appropriate standards. With regard to educational opportunities, all students who completed grade 6 were able to continue their studies at higher levels. The school presently has six students under Her Royal Highness’s patronage and 22 alumni who have graduated. Some alumni have also returned to contribute to the school’s development.

Her Royal Highness observed classroom activities, including kindergarten teaching, the school infirmary, and student cooperative programs. Students practiced shop management, savings, and bookkeeping such as purchase–sales accounts, income–expense accounts, and deposit–withdrawal accounts. These activities help them develop teamwork skills while instilling values of honesty and responsibility toward the community.

For the Agriculture for School Lunch Project, the school has a 5-rai (approximately 0.8-hectare) agricultural plot where students engage in hands-on farming. They cultivate vegetables such as kale, Chinese cabbage, and morning glory, grow oyster mushrooms, and plant fruit trees including mango, dragon fruit, banana, and papaya. They also raise chickens and fish. The produce is used as ingredients for student lunches. In addition, agricultural activities are integrated into English lessons, enabling students to learn English vocabulary related to the vegetables and fruits grown in the school garden.

Her Royal Highness also visited local villagers, Princess Sirindhorn’s Medical Unit and the Princess Sirindhorn’s Dental Unit from Pran Buri Hospital and the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, which provided free medical and dental services to students and community members. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness graciously granted an audience to the school principal of the Border Patrol Police School, who presented his farewell upon retirement.
