On 10 February 2026 at 1:15 p.m., Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited and followed up on royal initiative projects at Ban Pilokki Border Patrol Police School in Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province. This marked her fourth visit to the school and the 1,139th Border Patrol Police School she has visited. The school has been operating since 2007, providing education from kindergarten to Grade 6. It currently has 14 teachers and educational personnel and 259 students, under the responsibility of Border Patrol Police Subdivision 13.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness graciously bestowed gifts and educational supplies to the school principal and student representatives. She also granted fruit tree saplings and vegetable seeds to representatives of local villagers. Furthermore, eight students under royal patronage who are currently pursuing their studies were granted an audience to report on their academic progress. The president of the Royal Patronage Students Club in Kanchanaburi Province also presented a report on the club’s activities.

Her Royal Highness observed the implementation of various royal initiative activities, including vocational training programs. Students receive instruction in weaving and tailoring woven fabric into products such as shirts and shoulder bags. Kanchanaburi Technical College has also supported the school by providing training in small engine repair, equipping students with basic vocational skills. She also observed kindergarten classroom instruction, activities preserving local culture and wisdom, and a traditional “Karen Bamboo Dance” performance—an indigenous game of the Pga K’nyau (Karen) people, commonly performed during festivals to promote enjoyment and community unity.

She followed up on the operations of the Royal Health Pavilion, where a nurse-teacher and staff provide basic first aid services to students and community members, along with a referral system to local hospitals. The student cooperative operates a school shop and savings program. The library serves students, alumni, and the public, featuring a Royal Book Corner and organizing activities such as a mobile library, reading journals, and reading comprehension exercises to foster a love of reading.

In terms of academic achievement, Grade 6 students’ 0-NET examination results for the 2024 academic year in Mathematics and English were above the national average. Moreover, all graduating students have been able to continue their studies at higher levels.

The school’s agricultural project for school lunches encourages hands-on learning, including growing vegetables and fruit trees, raising laying hens and pigs, and farming catfish in cement ponds. The produce is sufficient for school lunch preparation and has been extended to the community. The school distributes vegetable seeds to parents for household cultivation and promotes knowledge of hygiene, environmental sanitation, and household accounting among community members. It also serves as a learning center for agricultural practices, welcoming interested visitors to study and apply the knowledge for occupational development.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness also visited local residents and the Royal Medical Unit, for which she graciously authorized Thong Pha Phum Hospital to provide general medical services to students and community members.
