On 19 February 2026 at 3:00 p.m., Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided at Sa Pathum Palace and granted an audience to Professor Emeritus Dr. Kraisid Tontisirin, Advisor to the Royal Initiative Projects of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who led a delegation of teachers and representatives from the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Bhutan. The delegation was attending the Child and Youth Development Training Programme for teachers and practitioners under the cooperation project between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Bhutan on child and youth development under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The training organizing committee also joined the audience.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness graciously presented certificates to 36 trainees and observed the presentation of operational plans for the child and youth development cooperation project under the Royal Initiative. The presentations were delivered by teacher representatives from 11 Royal Initiative Project schools in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
Her Royal Highness has graciously initiated and supported the Child and Youth Development Cooperation Project in the Kingdom of Bhutan since 2011. At present, 11 schools participate in the project. Under Her Royal Initiative, infrastructure and equipment have been provided to support project activities, aiming to enhance the nutrition and health conditions of children and youth. Training programmes and study visits have also been organized for project personnel.
For this training session, Her Royal Highness graciously assigned the Office of Her Royal Initiative Projects, in collaboration with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and relevant agencies, to conduct the programme from 11–21 February 2026. Representatives from the Ministry of Education and teachers from all 11 Royal Initiative Project schools in the Kingdom of Bhutan participated. The training programme included lectures, practical sessions, and study visits to child and youth development projects at Border Patrol Police schools in Sa Kaeo Province and schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
The objective was to enhance participants’ knowledge, promote the exchange of experiences in child and youth development, and enable them to apply the knowledge gained to improve school activities and further enhance the quality of life of children and youth.
