Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously paid a visit to follow up on Children and Youth Development Project under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Naresuan Pa La-U Border Patrol Police School in Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, on 18 April 2026.
This marked Her Royal Highness’s seventh visit to this school and the 1,140th Border Patrol Police School visited overall.
The school, established in 1982, provides education from kindergarten to primary level (Grade 6). It currently serves 180 students with the total of 12 teachers and educational staff.
Her Royal Highness graciously granted educational supplies to the head teacher and student representatives, as well as fruit tree saplings and royal vegetable seeds to local residents.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness graciously bestowed First-class Honorary Pins upon 13 individuals in recognition of their contributions to royal initiative projects.
Her Royal Highness then graciously granted and audience to nine students under Patronage of Her Royal Highness, who respectfully reported on their academic performance. On the same occasion, the President of the Students under Patronage of Her Royal Highness Club in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province had the honour of respectfully presenting a report on the club’s activities to Her Royal Highness. The club comprises a network of 51 members, with its mission to provide care, conduct visits, and offer academic guidance and welfare support to students currently studying in the area, with the aim of enabling them to continue their education through to completion.
Her Royal Highness follow up on the progress of the implementation of child and youth development project at the school, including student nutrition and health, academic performance, vocational training, school health service, student cooperative, cultural activities, and school agriculture. Through these activities, students gain hands-on experience, which also extended to benefit their communities.
During the visit, Her Royal Highness presided over the opening of the “Tanpitak” Dental Building and observed oral health initiatives under a nationwide school dental care programme. In addition, Dr. Amporn Benjapolpitak, Director-General of the Department of Health, had the honour of respectfully presenting 140 intraoral cameras for use as tools in monitoring students’ oral health.
Thereafter, Her Royal Highness visited local people, as well as the Royal Medical Unit, Royal Dental Unit and the Royal Vision Screening Unit, which were graciously implement under Her Royal Highness’s initiative, with participation from Hua Hin Hospital, the Police General Hospital, and Smart Vision (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in providing general medical services, dental care, and vision screening for students and people in the area.
